| Description The Chamber Orchestra of South Africa (COSA), resident at the University of Pretoria, is one of the country's leading professional groups of performing musicians. The normal number of performers in the orchestra varies between 20 and 30 players, depending on the requirements of a particular work. For special concerts the orchestra can be enlarged to up to 65 players. COSA is based in Pretoria from where it travels to a number of venues in the country to perform. The founding of the Chamber Orchestra of South Africa on April 30th 2000 created a stir of excitement among music lovers in Gauteng and surroundings. From the start COSA concerts have been regarded as exciting happenings. A reputation for quality has been established. |
